How The Newspaper Is Organized

Monday through Saturday, The Washington Post prints the following news sections in this order:

The A Section is for general news, including all national and international news. Metro, Sports, Style and Business stories also may appear in the A Section if they start on Page One or are related to a story that starts on Page One. The editorial and opinion pages run inside the back page of the A Section.

The B Section is Metro news. Steve Barr's Federal Diary and the lottery results appear on the second page and the weather map appears on the back page of Metro every day.

The C Section is Style, which focuses on the arts, entertainment, culture and personalities. The television schedule runs in Style and the last four pages of the section contain the comics, the horoscope, the crossword puzzle, the bridge column, columns by Ann Landers and Bob Levey, and KidsPost.

The D Section is Sports.

The E Section is the Business section, Tuesday through Saturday. On Thursdays, Tech Thursday and on Fridays, Fast Forward appear on the front page of this section. On Mondays, Washington Business, a section about local business, appears instead of the regular Business section.

On Sunday, the Outlook section appears behind the A Section, and the editorial pages appear in the back of this section. The Sunday paper also contains the Travel Section, a Sunday Arts section, the Magazine, Book World and TV Week.
