I came to the Post in February 1998. My first year was as an Advertising Service Rep; I was then promoted to the position of Personnel Administrator. Four months later I was promoted to the position [of] Staffing and Employee Relations Specialist. My career here at The Washington Post has been challenging, rewarding, and lots of fun.

After spending the better part of 13 years with another company, I decided I needed a career change. Growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, I had always known of The Post and wanted to be a part of its traditions. So I managed to get my foot in the door with an entry-level position.
