Grants In Education

The Post provides an opportunity for teachers to apply for funds over and above those in the approved school budget to implement creative and innovative ideas that enrich the standard curriculum.

The number of grants each school system receives is based on its total number of teachers. Full-time teachers who apply and are selected by the 19 local public school systems receive grants averaging $300 each. Proposals from private schools are screened by a committee of educators and community leaders through the coordinating efforts of the Council for American Private Education.
