Logan S. McConnell
Alexandria City Public Schools

Mr. McConnell is a fourth grade teacher at Mount Vernon Community School. He began his teaching career abroad in 1994 as a fourth grade classroom teacher at El Buen Pastor Episcopal School in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, where he taught for two years. During his tenure in Honduras, Mr. McConnell coached the Honduran spelling bee national champion in 1995 and the national runner-up in 1996. Mr. McConnell returned to the United States in 1996 and joined the staff at Mount Vernon Community School as a fifth grade teacher. He assumed his current position in the fall of 1997. Mr. McConnell received a bachelor of arts degree in history from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C., and a master of education degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.
