White-Hood photo

Marian White-Hood,
Prince Georgeês County Public Schools, is principal at Ernest Everett Just Middle School. Dr. White-Hood began her career in education in 1975 as a home economics teacher at Bladensburg High School in Bladensburg, Md. Her entire career has taken place in the Prince Georgeês County Public School system. From 1977 to 1999, she taught home economics at William Wirt Middle School in Riverdale, Md. In addition to teaching at William Wirt, she was a vice principal at Benjamin Tasker Middle School in Bowie, Md., from 1989 to 1993. Dr. White-Hood was the summer school principal at Largo High School in Largo, Md., in 1992 and the principal at Kettering Middle School in Upper Marlboro, Md., from 1993 to 2001. She assumed her current position in 2001. Dr. White-Hood holds a BS degree in human ecology and an MS degree in administration and supervision from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and a PhD degree in education from the University of Maryland in College Park.
