Catherine M. Harvey,
Montgomery County Public Schools, is the principal of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. Mrs. Harvey began her career in education in 1975 in Albuquerque, N.M., where she taught secondary English, drama and language arts for the Albuquerque Public School system. From 1986 to 1990, she was assistant principal at Polk Middle School also located in Albuquerque, N.M. In 1990, Mrs. Harvey became principal at Lincoln Middle School in Rio Rancho, N.M., where she remained for six years. From 1996 to 1999, she was principal at Rio Rancho High School in Rio Rancho, N.M. In 1999, Mrs. Harvey joined the Montgomery County Public School system and assumed her current position. She holds a BA degree in English and an MA degree in educational administration from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M.
