Robert F. Yeager,
Alexandria City Public Schools, is the principal of George Washington Middle School. Mr. Yeager began his career in education in 1965 when he joined Alexandria City Public Schools as a social studies teacher at George Washington Middle School. From 1968 to 1971, he was a coordinator of data processing for the Alexandria City Public Schools. In 1971, Mr. Yeager became assistant principal at Minnie Howard Middle School where he remained for eight years. From 1979 to 1984, he was associate principal at Francis C. Hammond Junior High School and in 1984, he became associate principal of T.C. Williams High School. From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Yeager was principal at George Washington Junior High School and in 1989, he returned to T.C. Williams as associate principal where he remained for seven years. In 1996, he returned to Francis C. Hammond as principal. Mr. Yeager retired in 2000 and returned to his career in education in 2001,when he assumed his present position. He holds a BS degree in social studies from West Chester State University in Pennsylvania, and an MEd in administration from George Washington University in the District.
