High School Sports Teams

Local high school athletes are selected by The Post's Sports staff each year as the best in the area. Teams are selected and announced individually in the paper throughout the year. In June, the athletes are honored at a luncheon. Parents and coaches are joined by Post sportswriters, professional sports personalities, and business and government leaders to pay tribute to these hard-working athletes.

Steve Coll, then managing editor of The Washington Post, speaks at the All-Met banquet.
