Eligibility
Funding is available for specific programs or general operating support of organizations that:

Are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code |

|
Operate in and for the benefit of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area
|
Funding is not available for direct support to:
|
|
Individuals |
|
|
National or other organizations whose programs do not directly serve Washington area needs |
|
|
Religious organizations for religious purposes |
|
|
Fraternal, membership, or veterans organizations |
|
|
Political action or advocacy groups |
|
|
Multi-year grants |
|
|
Challenge grants |
|
|
Third-party fundraising efforts |
|
|
Conferences |
|
|
Research |
|
|
Start-up projects |
