Eligibility

Funding is available for specific programs or general operating support of organizations that:

Bullet Point Are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Bullet Point Operate in and for the benefit of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area

Funding is not available for direct support to:

Bullet Point Individuals
Bullet Point National or other organizations whose programs do not directly serve Washington area needs
Bullet Point Religious organizations for religious purposes
Bullet Point Fraternal, membership, or veterans organizations
Bullet Point Political action or advocacy groups
Bullet Point Multi-year grants
Bullet Point Challenge grants
Bullet Point Third-party fundraising efforts
Bullet Point Conferences
Bullet Point Research
Bullet Point Start-up projects
